As an open access journal, the Korean Journal of Art History (KJAH) will follow the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing (https://doaj.org/bestpractice) developed by Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA), and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME).

1. Website

The URL of official journal web site is http://www.kjah.org.

The KJAH team endeavors to make a good website. KJAH website demonstrates that care has been taken to ensure high ethical and professional standards. It does not contain any misleading information, including any attempt to mimic another journal/publisher's site.

2. Name of journal

The official journal title is Korean Journal of Art History, the abbreviation of ISO is Korean J Art Hist.

3. Peer review process

Type of peer review: Double-blind review

Crosscheck is used to check the duplication of the submitted manuscripts. Two reviewers are assigned to review each submitted manuscript simultaneously. If the two reviewers' opinions are conflicting, a third reviewer is assigned. The decision is notified to the corresponding author within 2 months after submission.

7. Copyright and licensing

Copyright policy: All published papers become the permanent property of the Art History Association of Korea. Copyrights of all published materials are owned by the Art History Association of Korea and permission must be obtained for any commercial use of materials. Every author should sign the copyright transfer agreement forms.

Licensing information: This is an Open Access journal distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY-NC 4.0) which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

8. Author fees

An article processing charge (APC) of 100 USD (approximately 100,000 Korean Won) per article is requested to the corresponding author upon acceptance.

9. Process for the identification of and dealing with allegations of research misconduct

When the journal faces suspected cases of research and publication misconduct such as redundant (duplicate) publication, plagiarism, fraudulent or fabricated data, changes in authorship, an undisclosed conflict of interest, ethical problems with a submitted manuscript, a reviewer who has appropriated an author's idea or data, complaints against editors, and so on, the resolution process will follow the flowchart provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) (http://publicationethics.org/resources/flowcharts). The discussion and decision on the suspected cases are carried out by the Editorial Board.

10. Publication ethics

Authorship, conflict of interest, and other ethical issues are managed according to COPE guidelines.

11. Publishing schedule

Quarterly: March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31.

12. Access

Free open access is provided to all published articles.

13. Archiving

The journal is archived in the Korea Citation Index and registered with the National Library of Korea.

14. Revenue sources

Revenue is generated from the support of the Art History Association of Korea and author fees.

15. Advertising

No advertising is currently carried in the journal.

16. Direct marketing

Direct marketing activities are conducted through invitation of presenters at academic events.
